Solution in optical assembly: Hofbauer Optik introduces independent engineering & metrology service

Optical assemblies and systems are now a central component of modern devices - from medical technology to sensors and LIDAR to laser and imaging systems.
Despite highly developed components, deviations often occur in practice: systems do not achieve the required performance, measurement results are not consistent or production processes remain unstable.

The causes rarely lie in individual components, but rather in the interaction of optics, mechanics, measurement technology and adjustment.

Hofbauer Optik addresses precisely these critical interfaces with an expanded range of services.
With the new “Optical Engineering & Metrology Services”, the company offers independent, cross-system support along the entire value chain of optical assemblies - from optical design and optomechanical layout to precise measurement technology and alignment through to qualification and stable production.

A particular focus is on analyzing and clarifying deviations. These include, for example, different measurement results between test stations or between customer and supplier, uncertainties in centering and adjustment, and system parameters that are not met. Through independent reference measurements and well-founded metrological evaluation, Hofbauer Optik creates transparency and a reliable basis for decision-making.

The company also supports the optimization of manufacturing and assembly processes as well as the transfer of optical systems into reliable series production. The aim is not only to collect measurements, but also to understand the underlying causes and develop sustainable solutions.

The claim: “We find the cause and bring your system into successful production”.
